TW: Tell us your age & where were you born?
NG: I'm 20 years old, i was born in Zurich although i live in Serbia now :)
TW: Where comes your love for electronic music from?
NG: Well, as long as I can think back i always loved music. I remember the scenes when I was 3-4 years old and my mother kept me calm by playing me music and music videos so she could wash the dishes, clean the house etc. A lot of influence one me had my moms music [a mixture of lot of styles actually]. My first true interest appeard when I was 11-12 years old. I listened to everything I thought it suits my taste, some trance, house, psychedelic & electro, until I got occupied only with techno. A year later I started with the production and a year after the production with djing :)
TW: What do you think about the new systems for djing?
NG: I honestly think that they are crap! I support systems like serato scratch which i personally use cause it simulates real vinyl feeling. But djing in ableton or using the sync button in traktor dj? C'mon people, thats like making points in football without even playing it. I dont get it. Being djs without actually being one? If the expansion of such djing continues I will stop djing and I will only do the production and live acts...
TW: Which style do you prefer at the time? Which style did you prefered when you was younger and what do you think how your style will evolve in future projects?
NG: At first I was playing pure techno because it demands perfect skills and improvisation.
When I think back, I realize that I was maybe a better dj with 16 than now... But i was never doing pure techno production. It was boring to me. I always tried something different. After pure techno I was playing offbeat for a while and after that a mixture of electro, mnml & tech-house. That was about 3 years ago... Now, I think I'm more mature and I search always for something new. I'm playing and making sounds with a lot of energy and material for thinking. That fusion is necessary nowdays. My basic style will always be techno, but currently it is minimalized, idm, alien-like, hypnotic and psy. I like the metallic sound and I think that the future will bring more weird sounds and arrangments in my production. Besides the music under my real name, i use a project called Scalameriya. Scalameriya is more liberal and stands ONLY for techno. It will not be uncommon to see some idm, dubstep, ambient or breakbeat production under my real name. I’m even thinking of a third project for my more melodic productions [deep, neo-trance & tech-house]. Anyway, under all 3 projects my music will not follow the scene and it is gonna be totally weird.
TW: When did you decide to sell your own music and create Genesa Records?
NG: I decided that when I started to make music. I had these goals on the start, but I never had opportunities for that until now. I started with the Genesa project few months ago and i hope we can start till january 2009.
TW: What is the exact concept of your label?
NG: The concept has a few points of view. I had difficulties releasing my sounds on other labels cause it is very strange, or when they take an ep from me they release it a year after. I wanted to prevent that. I want to release my music whenever I want. with Genesa I can support similar artists and give them a chance to get their music released. Genesa stands for new, weird, inovative, hypno, mechano, technoid tracks, although we gonna have a lot of styles there. The main inspiration is the future, not trands. Genesa is not gonna copy any existing label. Besides Genesa i’m starting Wandler Records with 2 friends. Thats the label which will follow some modern stuff. It’s gonna be totally club oriented. The style variations will be much bigger on Wandler than on Genesa: techno, house, mnml, electro, breakbeat. I dont think there will be a lot of releases under my real name J
TW: How do you think the sound will mutate in the next years?
NG: Well, the one side i like a lot. The sound improved, there are many styles which you can fuse together in a set, you get more inspiration etc. Some artists are making really new stuff since few years and they will be trying it in the future also. The other side makes me puke... Pure mnml and the latest house wave?... Whats wrong people? Should we go back in early 90's? I mean, nothing against house, I make it myself sometimes, I play it & I love it, but I’m not copying the old sound or make 8 minutes dry loops... I hope thats gonna change soon... What comes after that? Maybe something like new-born disco? There are not so many artists arround who are REALLY making there own shit. The most of them are just cheap copycats. I hope they are enjoying their trends J
TW: Tell us about the tools you use for your dj-sets...
NG: For my sets I use serato scratch, 2 turntables, korg kaoss pad 3 and a sampler. Cdj's when there are no turntables arround or when the pult is too unstable. As much as I love inovation in sound & production, I'm a traditionalist in djing. :)

GS: Soy de rosario Argentina, y tengo 22 años!
TW: A que edad tomaste contacto con la música electronica y por que la elección de tu estilo personal...
GS: Desde que tengo memoria, siempre escuche musica electronica, ya que tengo hermanos un casi 10 años mas grandes que yo y escuchaban depeche mode, krafwerk, bla bla, y la mayoria de bandas de los 80 que sin dudas todavia son las mas significativas!
TW: Cual fue la motivación a agarrar las mezclas de sonidos y si podes contarnos acerca de los artistas que te inspiraron a ello...
GS: Me decidi de lleno a dedicarme a las bandejas, en el 2005, por una propuesta de uno de mis hermanos. En ese entonces y creo que ahora tambien, el era muy fanatico de richi hawtin y el grupo minus, yo todavia no los conocia demaciado, asi que le hice caso, y empece a investigar. Luego de unos dias, entramos a una diskeria, jugamos con las bandejas, probamos y compramos varios discos y entre ellos, mis 2 primeras giradiscos. Desde ese dia que no las puedo dejar de mirar
TW: Sabemos que tuviste un extenso viaje, se podría decir que en Argentina existe la cultura electronica suficiente para entender sonidos simples y complejos relacionados con el techno ?
GS: si, es un grupo bastante “chico”, si bien las fiestas que mas convocan gente en la ciudad no son de techno puro, actualemte todos los estilos estan influenciados por el techno, hay una mescla muy grande entre todos, y todos tienen ese algo technoso.
TW: Que es lo que mas recordas de tus postales europeas musicales?
GS: Sin dudas lo que mas recuerdo es haber podido tocar en una disco de 3 plantas, y en chiriguitos en la playa de dia,lo que me gusta mas es tocar de dia es lo mejor, la onda de la gente es muy diferente. Ha y escuchar a Ricardo Villalobos en Bacarra
TW: Como han sido tus experiencias en las cabinas, que te inspira ver al publico bailando?
GS: lo mas raro, es que todavia me sigo poniendo casi tan nervioso como el primer dia, hasta que no suena el primer tema no puedo relajarme. Lo que mas me inspira ver a un publico bailar es risa y felicidad, si veo a una persona pasandola bien, para mi es suficiente
TW: Al momento de seleccionar la musica, tanto sea en live set como mezcla en vivo de canales, que factores siempre tenés en cuenta a la hora de una presentación?
GS: Lo primero es el lugar, si lo conosco trato de adaptarme un poco a eso, despues miro mucho los artistas, me gusta usar temas de artistas nacionales, creo que el sonido de los djs argentinos es increible y muy particular. Hoy en dia esta tannn saturado el mercado, que aveces no nos amos cuenta que tannn cerca tenemos una musica exelente. Siempre pero siempre en mis set hay por lo menos un tema de un artista nacional, y en mas de una ocacion los he realizado en un 90% solo con argentinos, desde, franco, lukas, andres, nico, vos (krlox), dilo, gurz, leonel, barem, y muuuuchos otros! Ya que la lista creo que se extiende a mas de 20
Ahora estoy trabajando mucho con Carlos Laporta, quien creo que tiene un sonido muy particular, y eso es algo muy dificil de lograr en la musica, que te ronoscan a la hora de escuchar un tema, ademas de que me dio una mano muy grande en la parte de producion.
TW: Como pensas que se viene la wave a nivel musical en el futuro? sonidos abstractos o quizas un groove que nunca se perderá?
GS: Creo que ahora tantos los djs como los productores basan su musica en el groove, saben que si sus sonidos tiene groove y una melodia atrapante, para el publico ya esta. Para mi particularmente el tema tiene que tener ese algo que te hace mover y dar vueltas en la cabeza,, con buenos pasajes vacios, y casi sin sonidos, y sin faltar alguna veces en su mayoria femeninas
TW: Cuales son tus proyecciones futuras tanto como compositor o como dj?
GS: Desde hace unos 6 meses que empece con la parte de productor, y con suerte en muy pokito estaria saliendo mi primer netlabel, algo que me pone sumamente feliz y que no esperaba, tan rapido. Le tengo que dar las gracias a Danny Cantonessie de españa, el fue el que mas me incistio y enceño muchas cosas en la parte produccion, que ya esta tambien por editar su primer netlabel, y a Carlos Laporta, quien comparto archivos todos los dias y esta haciendo un remix de uno de mis temas
Y como djs el año que viene vuelvo a viajar a europa, mas bien en españa, pero con proyectos en alemania y holanda.
Pero desde aca es muy dificil manejarme, asi que esperare a estar alla, y con la ayuda de algunos amigos ver como me desempeño, y poder pinchar en varios lugares, ya que la experiencia de un viaje, sumada a la de las cabinas, seria un logro mas que suficiente!
